Our Take

Is this the ultimate middle school commute machine? The Hard Four from Haibike definitely takes kid commute to the next level.

Featuring 24″ wheels, front suspension, and an aluminum frame sized for folks under 5′, the Hard Four has a big attitude for such a small bike. The drive system is by Yamaha and is plenty powerful.

If taking on steeper hills off road with your tween is exciting, the Hard Four will make this more than possible. And with a 500 Watt-hour battery, standard, you’ll be able to ride all day if you wish. Hydraulic brakes, double-wall eyeletted rims, and Schwalbe tires round out this quality package.
