Our Take

All Riese & Muller bikes are assembled in their factory in Weisenstadt Germany. This means you can customize virtually everything about the bike, including color, drivetrain, motor and battery capacity. Additionally Riese & Muller cargo bikes have many cargo bike accessories for the Packster.

The 'All Arounder', Defined

This bike is perfect for urban riders with weekend adventures in mind. Of course, you can get more comfort from the fully suspended Delite, or more cargo from the Packster or the Load, but the Charger sits squarely in the middle of the pack - doing virtually everything well while weighing less.

Energize Your Commute

The aesthetic of the Charger is simple and refined - with subtly tapered and squared frame tubes, elevated chainstays that are especially practical for internally geared hubs like the Nuvinci, and a contemporary palette of color options.

Wine Country, Big Sur, and Back

Weekend adventures by e-bike require more battery capacity than a daily commuter. The Charger, equipped with the Dual Battery system from Bosch can offer you a realistic weekend range of 150 miles between charges. That covers wine country, Big Sur, and everything in between. A high-speed Bosch Performance Speed motor option on the Charger will help you devour those miles in record time.

Low Step Mixte Frame Model

One of our favorite 'flavors' of Charger is the Charger Mixte with Nuvinci shifting. Low maintenance, intuitive shifting and assist, low step-over and classy looks make this a perfect solution for SF commuters. But don't be fooled, front suspension, a shock-absorbing seatpost and upright ride position will enable way more than just commuting.

Charger GX Adventure Model

Let's be honest - there is something so enticing about bike packing (i.e. bike camping). Maybe it's all those well designed bags concealing our survival supplies, or oversized tires that hunger for something more than asphalt. But practically speaking, pedaling a fully loaded bike-packing bike up our neighborhood hills, let alone the Marin headlands, is gonna be a challenge.

Enter the new Charger GX - with a rear rack, front rack, oversized Schwalbe tires, front suspension & shock absorbing seatpost to empower unforgettable, car-free adventures.
