Ten years ago...
...we graduated from UC Berkeley with an idea to bring electric bikes to the San Francisco Bay Area. We started with a home-built website, a couple ebikes on a trailer, and some consigned inventory in our parents' garage. Thousands of happy ebike riders later, The New Wheel is quite a different company.
To celebrate, we invited our family, friends and colleagues to help us tell our story, which is part of a larger story of the evolution of ebikes in North America and worldwide over the last decade.
We have two versions to share - a short and sweet tale of our first 10 years, and an extended version, with more interviews of team members, partners, customers and community leaders. In creating these films, we owe a debt of gratitude to our director, videographer (and Larkspur sales impresario!) Mark Kohr.
