  • Made for You in Germany: Riese & Müller assembles each bike in their factory in Weiterstadt, Germany to your specifications. This means that you can choose things like color, motor style, battery, drivetrain, and accessories. The New Wheel is here to help you to design your perfect bike. Learn more.
  • A Bike with Attitude, Perspective and Multiple Abilities: an incredible commuter, to be sure, but also a bike that begs for weekend adventure. With full-suspension and a unique rear cargo rack, on- and off-road adventure beckons.
  • Mountain and Street Models Available: The Delite comes in a touring model (pictured above), but also as a mountain bike. (For a unique full-suspension step-through bike that can also be configured for off-road use, consider the Homage.) We may not always have these on the floor, but they are always available to order in any configuration.
  • Full Suspension Means Comfort and Control: Full-suspension was adapted to bikes to make them easier to manage at speed on all types of terrain. This speed-capable bike incorporates front and rear suspension to keep you moving swiftly in full control. And comfort is a huge additional benefit of full suspension, and here it's further enhanced by the upright riding position characteristic of every Delite model.
  • Dual Batteries for Maximum Range: The only full suspension e-bike designed around the Bosch Dual Battery System. Centering the motor and battery weight  brings superb ride comfort, handling and performance characteristics. Configure your go-anywhere dream machine today!
  • Cantilevered Rear Rack Suspends your Cargo: A unique rear rack allows the rear suspension swing arm to suspend the rider and cargo, for ultimate control & comfort. Bike-packers take note - the rear rack is available for the Delite GX Mountain as well. Go anywhere with all necessary gear!
  • Three Frame Sizes: Let us help you determine the fit for you. Frame sizes range from 49 - 56cm, to fit riders 5'5" - 6'9".
  • Lighting Fenders, Kickstand, an ABUS Lock, Standard:  Delite Touring models are fully accessorized for urban use and more. Powerful front and rear IQ X lighting by Busch+Müller.
  • A Warranty You Can Trust: Riese & Müller's warranty is backed by The New Wheel True Warranty™  and upheld by our professional service department. Includes 5-year frame coverage, 2 years for electronics, and 2 years for all other components (some exceptions apply).

Our Take

All Riese & Muller bikes are assembled in their factory in Weisenstadt Germany. This means you can customize virtually everything about the bike, including color, drivetrain, motor and battery capacity. Additionally Riese & Muller cargo bikes have many cargo bike accessories for the Packster.

Hello Weekend Adventures

Riese & Muller are known for incorporating full suspension into virtually any style of bike. The Delite is perhaps equal parts off-road e-bike, super commuter, and long-distance touring machine. The result is something that elicits daydreams, and weekend adventure schemes.

Fully Suspended Fun

Front and rear travel is 100mm, and the Delite Mountain offers a rear Fox Float 34 shock to soak up the bumps. Suspension increases control (especially at speed), preserves comfort, and has the added benefit of extending the lifespan of many components by reducing vibration related wear and tear.

Multiple Drivetrain Options

We love the three drivetrain options available on the Delite models - including Shimano derailleur, Nuvinci IGH, and even a Rolhoff hub option. The Rolhoff 14-speed internally geared hub requires minimal service and incredible feel and performance.

A Gates Carbon belt drive can be found on all Nuvinci models. Combined with a perfectly positioned pulley, the belt length and tension always remain constant while subjected to riding-related forces, making a belt tensioner a thing of the past.

Pair these drivetrain options with either a Bosch Performance Speed Motor or the High Torque Bosch CX Drive Motor.

A Rich History

The Delite was originally released in late-1990s as a full-suspension (though not electric) bike. Under constant production and regular revision, today's Delite is the product of nearly 20 years of German design and development.

New Dual Battery Technology

New for 2017, Riese & Müller is doubling the range of its E-Bikes with Bosch Dual Battery technology. This steps up battery capacity to 1,000 Wh, available on all Delite models. Depending on your needs, you may choose to bring along just one battery, or double up for a realistic range of 150 miles per charge. Using a charger, both batteries can be charged simultaneously.

Additional Model Options

There are numerous models within the Delite family, all of which can be ordered through The New Wheel. The Homage, a step-through version of the Delite, offers all the benefits of the Delite without the high top tube. The GT models of Delite upgrade components like rims, tires, and brakes for enhanced performance and serviceability.

All in All...

It's hard not to love this bike, in all of its incarnations and options. If you're looking for a commuter bike, and endless reasons to daydream about the weekends, this bike is sure to delight...
