    What this chart means

    • Are you ready to get your order started? Our trained technicians will build your Riese & Müller Tinker Vario to your unique specifications, including size, color, components and accessories. Click on the button below to indicate your interests, and we'll follow up with you shortly to firm up all the details.

    Start Your Build

    • Small bike, big personality: A longer wheelbase preserves the stability of a big bike. In combination with the smaller wheels and generous stepover height of the Tinker's frame, the resulting ride experience is dynamic, top-quality and unique.
    • Built for the city, and built to last: With a tried and true Bosch CX Line (Gen2) motor, an Enviolo internally geared hub transmission, connected via a Gates Carbon Belt Drive, this urban bike is built for heavy use and maximum reliability.
    • Premium compact: One ride on the Tinker and you realize that this bike is not like any other compact bike: comfortable thanks to plush suspension; powerful thanks to the top-of-the-line Bosch engine; and built with quality components.
    • Eminently shareable: Not only can you adjust the seatpost and stem height for different riders, you can adjust the stem angle, allowing you to dial in your precise ride position - no tools necessary.
    • Oversized tires for added control: Small-wheeled bikes perform marvelously in the city when paired with high volume, high-pressure tires like Schwalbe Big Ben tires found on the Tinker.
    • Racktime rear carrier comes standard: Snapit system by RackTime allows for a number of different carriers that click instantly on and off the rear rack.
    • A Warranty You Can Trust: Riese & Müller's warranty is backed by The New Wheel True Warranty™  and upheld by our professional service department. Includes 5-year frame coverage, 2 years for electronics, and 2 years for all other components (some exceptions apply).

    Our Take

Our video above is for the prior year model, but much of the review remains relevant to the current model.

How To Order A Riese & Müller E-Bike

Each Riese & Müller bike is assembled in their factory in Mühltal, Germany.

When you place your order with us, you can customize virtually everything about your bike, including color, drivetrain, motor, battery capacity and more. Each Riese & Müller model has a range of accessory options to help you further dial in your ride.

    Performance In Design

Riese & Muller is all about performance, and nothing changes on the compact Tinker.  The small frame design belies its big bike comfort and ride feel. But small has it's advantages, as this bike can be easily tucked away on a train, in the back of a car, or in the office.

The Tinker is also great for an extremely diverse range of uses and riders: it can be your fast and fun speed bike, your nimble urban commuter or town bike, or even your weekend adventurer with saddle bags loaded.

Now equipped exclusively with the low-maintenance Enviolo hub transmission and Gates Carbon belt drive, the Tinker is a low maintenance, urban-friendly explorer.

    One Size Fits All

Truly a one-size-fits-all bike thanks to smart geometry and an innovative stem that adjusts both up and down, and forward and back.

    Who is the Tinker For?

If you're looking for a speedy commuter or urban climber, Tinker has you covered.  If you are looking for a little less bulk but no less capability, Tinker will delight you. If you're trying to carry a family, Tinker won't necessarily fit the bill perfectly (consider the HSD or GSD from Tern instead).

Last but not least, the Tinker is offered in two colors: Black Matte or Crystal White.
