SHIMANO EP801

The EP801 (DU-EP801) is Shimano's flagship eMTB drive unit—the refined second generation of the acclaimed EP8. It delivers up to 85 N·m of torque and up to 600 W of peak output from a compact, lightweight housing, with low pedaling resistance for a natural ride.

Paired with Shimano Di2, it adds Auto Shift and Free Shift for seamless gear changes, and offers wide tuning through the E-TUBE PROJECT app.

SHIMANO EP6

The EP6 (DU-EP600) brings the same 85 N·m of capable, user-friendly power to e-MTB, city, and trekking bikes at a more accessible price. Light and compact at around 3 kg, it shares the platform's wide connectivity and is compatible with CUES Di2 and DEORE XT Di2 with LINKGLIDE—so you still get Auto Shift and Free Shift.

Versatile, dependable performance for every kind of ride.

Auto Shift & Free Shift

With Shimano Di2 electronic shifting, the system can shift for you. Auto Shift automatically selects the optimal gear based on your speed and cadence, while Free Shift lets you change gears without pedaling—even while coasting or stopped. Less thinking, more riding.

Shimano Batteries

Shimano e-bike batteries are built to last, retaining around 60% of their capacity even after 1,000 full charge cycles—years of dependable range for the typical rider.

SHIMANO STEPS BATTERIES

Shimano offers a range of in-frame and external batteries, with capacities up to 630 Wh (BT-E8036) for long days on the trail or road, plus 500 Wh and external options to suit different frames and uses.

Their renowned longevity means you can focus on the ride, not the charge indicator—around 60% capacity remains even after 1,000 charges.
