State-wide Programs

The California E-Bike Incentive Project provides up to $2,000 of point-of-sale incentives to support the purchase of a new electric bicycle (e-bike).
The California E-Bike Incentive Project is funded by the California Air Resources Board (CARB). CARB’s mission is to promote and protect public health, welfare, and ecological resources through effective reduction of air pollutants while recognizing and considering effects on the economy.
Bay Area Wide Programs
The Bay Area Air Quality Management District allows Bay Area residents to trade in a vehicle from 2005 or older to receive a $7,500 credit. It can be used to purchase ebikes, bicycle accessories, and pay for public transportation.
Local Programs
Residents with total household incomes of less than or equal to 400% of the Federal Poverty Level are eligible for ebike rebates between $150 and $500. This rebate applies to ebikes, ebike conversion kits, and electric mopeds.
The City of Healdsburg is offering a rebate program for ebikes to promote clean mobility. The rebates are $700 for income-qualified CARE customers, $400 for an e-bike purchased in Healdsburg, $300 for an e-bike purchased outside of Healdsburg, and $50 for an e-bike conversion attachment kit.
Up to $1,000 rebate for eligible residents of San Mateo County or the City of Los Banos
Purchase an electric bicycle and receive a rebate up to $300. Income-qualified customers can receive an additional rebate up to $200.
The Ecology Action Santa Cruz eBike Rebate Program provides rebates of $800 for low-income applicants or $400 for other applicants to people purchasing ebikes who work in Downtown Santa Cruz or are employed by the city of Santa Cruz.
