Program summary
The New Wheel is an electric bicycle retailer with three retail locations in California. We send non-marketing text messages to prospective and current customers who have contacted us about buying a bicycle. Messages include responses to inquiries and bike recommendation requests, test ride appointment confirmations and reminders, model availability follow-ups, and status updates on a bicycle a customer has ordered.
Email is our standard channel for all customer communication. Text messaging is an optional additional channel a customer may permit us to use. Customers who do not opt in continue to receive all communication by email with no reduction in service. We do not send messages to anyone who has not contacted us first. We do not send promotional, advertising, or bulk marketing content on this program.
Consent language shown at every opt-in point
The following appears directly below the phone number field on each form listed below, and is identical on all three. The checkbox is unchecked by default, is not marked required, and is separate from acceptance of our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. The full disclosure text is visible on page load — it is not hidden behind a tooltip, icon, hover state, or expandable element. The customer can submit the form without checking the box.

The test ride appointment form additionally displays one explanatory sentence between the heading and the checkbox: “Email is our standard method. This just gives us the option to text if it’s faster.” This is explanatory only and does not change the scope of consent.

Opting out
Customers may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Replying HELP returns contact information and program details. Customers may also opt out by calling (415) 524-7362 or emailing info@newwheel.net. Opting out of text messages does not affect email communication about an order.
Privacy
We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or SMS consent with any third party for their own marketing purposes. No mobile information collected for SMS is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile numbers are disclosed only to the messaging service providers who deliver messages on our behalf, and only for that purpose. We retain the consent timestamp and source form for every opt-in.
