How It Works

Select a bike and complete the online application.

We’ll configure your bike with the optional accessories you need and let you know when your bike is built and ready to pick up.

Your subscription starts when you pick up your bike from us. 

You are billed monthly, starting 30 days after you pick up your bike.

Insurance, maintenance and repairs are all covered while you have the bike. 

Swap bikes or cancel any time after your two month trial period.

You can end your subscription earlier if you’re ready to buy a bike.

When you’re ready to buy, we apply a portion of your subscription towards the purchase of your Friiway bike or a new bike.

Child seat ready

Attach a Thule® Yepp Maxi, Yepp Nexxt Maxi, or Bobike® GO Maxi child seat—no adapters needed. For older kids and adults use the Captain's Chair for a luxuriously comfortable ride.

Fits riders from 4'11" to 6'5"

Tern doesn't skimp on safety - you get Magura MT-4 hydraulic disc brakes for confident stopping, 190 lumen Valo™ front light, Herman rear light, and a built-in Abus wheel lock.

Fits in tiny spaces

Most cargo bikes are big and hard to store, but Tern bicycles are unique. They can easily go vertical (think elevators and closets) for ultra slim storage. If you have tight space requirements then the HSD is the perfect bike for you.
